I ate a slice of banana loaf and half a ginger molasses cookie about an hour ago. And I ate a total of 4 bananas, and 1 dry pint of blueberries today. God damn it!!!

I've been a baaaaaaaaad girl
I just ate more than half of a ginger molasses cookie. And half a banana. And earlier I ate around 20 BBQ chips. And 2 cups of sweetened soy milk.
This is not good. I really don't want to do this diet anymore. It's making me miserable and stressed out. I kept messing up at work today because I had so much on my mind that I started doing random shit. For instance, I made a large drink instead of a medium. Later I started putting chocolate syrup and coconut flakes on a frappuccino BEFORE putting on the whipped cream. That stuff is supposed to go on top of the whipped cream. What the hell?
For the record, my weight this morning was 142.6 lbs.
I am not pleased with myself right now.

Today was a high high carb day.
Celebratory lunches are bad news for me. I ate A LOT of carbs. That probably kicked me out of ketosis. I should check my pee next time. Bah!

Damn damn damn!
I ate about 10 grapes (maybe more...lost count...), 3 pieces of pineapple, 1/10th of a mini donut, 5 chicken wings, and some broccoli.
GRAPES ARE SO GOOD. They were the kind I like (the very round and sour-ish green ones); I couldn't resist. At least my coworker bought the almond milk I requested so I got to drink some of that deliciousness.
Now for dinner I guess I will have a hot dog and a chicken breast or something. Ran out of salad this morning. Sigh. McDonald's Tuscan salad is pretty good (but expensive). Can't wait to not have cravings anymore.

Midnight Baking
I used less sugar-free hazelnut syrup this time (only two capfuls) so it's definitely less sweet. But I also baked it for longer (like...20 min longer or so...) and made them look nicer. These little guys are very crumbly!
Phew, day 5 almost done
Mmmmmmmmm if it weren't for the peanut butter "cookies" I would have already gone back to carbs. I swear, those are saving me from giving up.
Today I went out and got some more groceries:
- celery
- Feta salad dressing
- angus hot dogs
- bag of salad
- more almond milk
I want to make more peanut butter cookies but we ran out of eggs. Should I go out again to get eggs? Ugh, I already went today!

Lots of baking this morning!
Top of the mornin' to ya!
Last night I dipped a Ketostix in pee and guess what?! There were about 4mmol/L of ketones in my pee! I'm in Ketosis, baby!
I weighed myself this morning: 143.0lbs :)
Then I decided to have some breakfast. I baked:
- bacon
- peanut butter cookies
- 2 batches of spinach chips; one with butter and salt, and one with just salt
I ended up having a few pieces of beef jerky while things were baking, lots of bacon, almost all of the spinach chips lol and one peanut butter cookie!

These are sooo good! Very crumbly, though. Thank goodness for sucralose. Seriously.

Day Three Complete!
Wow, what a challenge this has been so far. At work today I almost caved and bit into a banana. But I didn't. Phew. I did, however, have one cup of soy milk. Bad Jen!!! It was sweetened, too. Damn it!!
Jeff got Ketostix. I will dip one in my pee tomorrow to see whether I've started my ketosis journey. Heheh.

I woke up with mad mad cravings for sweets. I went to the grocery store and here was my grocery list:

Yes, I got pork rinds. That's how bad my cravings were. It was my first time trying them and I must say, the crunch was good but I almost puked at the taste.
I decided to also go with some spinach to try baking spinach chips. Here were the results:

The flavour is pretty good and the crunch is fun! The leaves are so thin that they crumble into smithereens at the slightest pressure. Next time I won't use huge flakes of salt since the saltiness was a bit much.
I also found almond milk that had zero net carbs!!!!! AMAZING!! Add a little bit of sbux's sugarfree hazelnut syrup and it's almost like I'm eating carbs again! HOORAH!! So happy to have found that. Now I can hopefully make it through the day without feeling like I'm being tortured.

I CANT STOP THINKING ABOUT CHIPS! AH!!! And my sweet tooth will be the end of me. I may go to the grocery store to pick up some pork rinds because I hear they will satisfy my crunch craving. I'm also going to try making spinach chips in the oven.

End of Day Two
Ohhhhh my god. I did not realize how difficult this would be. I can't believe my old diet consisted of mostly carbs. Wow. Today I ate:
Breakfast: 2 sausages, 2 eggs fried in lots of butter
Lunch: 2 slices of kielbasa with some spring mix salad, a 2cm^3 of havarti, and 4 slices of bacon
Snack: probably too many salted roasted pumpkin seeds, one chicken souvlaki stick, the filling of a taco (from Taco Bell)
Dinner: asparagus in butter, steak in butter
Drinks: 2 iced venti no classic passion teas, grande soy milk with one pump sugar free caramel
The soy milk was not planned. I really didn't want to drink it because there are carbs and sugar, but the craving was toooooooo intense. It felt SO GOOD drinking it, though. I don't think I have ever enjoyed soy milk as much as I did at that moment.
I weighed myself just now and I weigh 146lbs. D'oh! I really hope I am not accidentally fucking this up because it's like torture.

Day one complete!
Jeff and I are trying something we've never done before. We've both gained some fat in the past few years so we're starting a ketogenic diet. Basically the point of this is to restrict carbs (under 20g per day) to the point that our bodies will start to burn fat for energy (a state known as ketosis).
Today was interesting. I had intense cravings while at work. Every frappuccino smelled amazing and I really wanted one but I resisted. I didn't realize how much carb stuff I ate until today. Wow, I was a carbaholic.
I'm very tired and I have an interview tomorrow so I will end this post with some stats:
Current Weight: 145lbs
Waist (flexed): 79.8cm
I'll do some more measuring and take some "before" photos later.
